Tallgrass Creek Welcomes First Residents to Santa Fe Ridge

Tallgrass Creek, a continuing care retirement community developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, recently welcomed the first residents of Santa Fe Ridge, a brand-new independent living building on the scenic, 65-acre campus in Overland Park.

With 96 new maintenance-free apartment homes, Santa Fe Ridge will support the community’s ability to meet growing demand for its active, engaged retirement lifestyle.

The building is named for the historic Santa Fe Trail, which opened in 1821 and served as the most important route to the West before the era of the railroad. Of its approximately 750 miles, nearly two-thirds of the route lies in Kansas. A portion of the Santa Fe Trail even runs near the Tallgrass Creek campus, which has been designated a Certified Wildlife Habitat site by the National Wildlife Federation.
