Highland Springs Opens Lone Star Pub

September 26, 2018

Dallas, Texas–The recent opening of Twin Oaks Square, the new independent living building at Highland Springs, added a new dining venue for all residents to enjoy: the Lone Star Pub.

"Whether it's a nice glass of wine before dinner or a cold glass of beer while watching a football game, there's something for everyone at the Lone Star Pub," described Deborah Malone, the Director of Dining Services at the Erickson Living community.

The bar is open Monday through Friday, covering the evening hours of 4:30pm-8:00pm, and on Sunday from 12:00pm-7:00pm for football season.  Currently the Lone Star Pub features a fun appetizers-only menu with plans for a full menu as new residents continue to move into Twin Oaks Square and lunch & dinner service likely by the end of the year.

"I am proud of the creativity displayed by our culinary professionals as they prepared the appetizer selections," stated Ms. Malone.  "The queso dip with roasted green chili and the charcuterie platter have been popular with residents.  As we do at all of our restaurants, we look forward to receiving more of their input as we create the expanded menus."

The bar features Lone Star beer for just $2 along with an assortment of flavored-margaritas including lime, peach, mango and strawberry.  The Lone Star Pub will also host themed-nights and other parties as it grows.

"Our opening night in September was fun for residents and staff alike," noted Ms. Malone.  "We welcomed many large groups that stopped by for appetizers and cocktails before enjoying dinner at the Reunion Grill, one of our restaurants at Highland Springs."
